Radkey unveil brand new song, ‘Parade It’
The band recorded in Sheffield at the back end of last year.
Towards the end of 2014, Missouri brothers Radkey decamped to Sheffield to bang out a debut album with producer Ross Orton (Drenge, MIA, some band called Arctic Monkeys).
While that record isn’t quite ready for release just yet (“coming soon” says the text on the SoundCloud embed), the trio - Isaiah, Solomon and Dee Radke - have unveiled one of the songs from those sessions, in the shape of ‘Parade It’.
“It’s about seeing someone move on without you.” explains bassist Isaiah. “About how deep you can get involved with someone, and just how badly it can backfire.”
Radkey play next month’s Coachella festival in California, and return to the UK in August for Reading & Leeds. Re-introduce yourselves to them with this interview, as featured in the December 2013 / January 2014 issue of DIY.
