Real Lies share new single, ‘Seven Sisters’
London trio’s new track premiered as Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record’ last night.
Real Lies have aired a new single, titled ‘Seven Sisters’.
The new track was played on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show yesterday evening (Tuesday 5th May), airing as the presenter’s ‘Hottest Record’. ‘Seven Sisters’ is the first track to preview a debut album expected to be released in 2015, with the single out now via Marathon Artists.
Straight out of their “Rave Cave’ and onto stereo speakers, ‘Seven Sisters’ pays homage to the group’s London home, romanticising the city with a sound of youthful, urban pop. Mixing deadpan spoken lyrics (with a sly reference to Madonna), baggy era Manchester, and contemporary beats, ‘Seven Sisters’ transcends the landscapes of the capital into something more universal.
Real Lies will appear across UK and European festivals this summer, including a performance at this year’s Latitude Festival on DIY Presents: The Alcove Stage, which also features Bad Breeding, Josef Salvat, Nao, and many more.
