Real Lies unveil video for ‘World Peace’

A four minute cross-section of the ideal bang on mental weekend with the #lads.

After premiering the track on Zane Lowe’s radio show last month, Real Lies have today unveiled an accompanying video for latest single ‘World Peace’.

The clip sees the story of the track played out perfectly – talking to Noisey, Real Lies explained that ‘World Peace’ is “about coming home from a night out, in that sort of grey area where night turns to day. You’ve had a great night out with your mates, but you know that soon you’ll soon be getting into trouble with your missus, your boss, your flatmates, whoever else it is you’re meant to be fresh-faced for the next morning… and then cracking on anyway – to the next club, the next gatecrashed house party; forging your own path to the edges of the night.“

In keeping with that tale of selfish naughtiness, the clip juxtaposes a harsh white depiction of morning breaking over the group’s native London with a laser-filled party scene at one of those gatecrashed house parties. The trio take stoic stances throughout as the madness unravels itself. Check it out below.

‘World Peace’ is released 5th January, with Real Lies’ debut record out “March, April time,” according to the band’s Tom Watson.
