Robert Pattinson features on Death Grips’ ‘Government Plates’

In all the excitement and madness of Black Friday, one vinyl release still managed to surprise.

Death Grips’ third album, ‘Government Plates’, got a limited edition run and in the notes, it names Robert Pattinson of Twilight/Harry Potter fame as providing additional guitar on ‘Birds.’

This foray into music isn’t Robert Pattinson’s first, having provided two tracks for the ‘Twilight’ soundtrack and three for ‘How To Be’.

Death Grips disbanded in July of this year, cancelling all scheduled live dates including an American tour with Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden. ‘Government Plates’ was originally released, without warning, in 2013 as a free download via various file-sharing sites.
