Bloody hell
Royal Blood are officially in the studio
And this time it’s not a makeshift area of their tour bus…

Last we’d heard from Royal Blood, they were squirrelled away in a makeshift studio they built themselves in the back of their tour bus. However, it was not without issues. “It’s very hard to write when everything keeps falling over because the driver’s taken a massive corner,” the band’s Mike Kerr told NME.
The Brighton duo previously confirmed that album number two is on the horizon, but stayed tight-lipped. Asked about potential timelines, Mike said that Royal Blood won’t be releasing anything until “it sounds amazing.”
Now the noise-making pair have shared a snap from the studio, and this time it’s a proper studio with brick walls. It isn’t on a tour bus. If that’s not ‘evidence’ of things stepping up a notch, then what is?
Last month Royal Blood declared on Twitter that they’ve been “recording hard,” adding “I can’t wait to get new tunes out into the world! Where is everybody?”
So far, the band have shared a couple of new bits and bobs since releasing their debut in 2014. At the beginning of April, Royal Blood put out ‘Where Are You Now?’ - a song they wrote for HBO series Vinyl. They also played a new song, ‘Hook, Line and Sinker,’ on Reading and Leeds’ main stage last year.
