Sampha wrote ‘Timmy’s Prayer’ with Kanye West

Sampha announced his long-awaited debut album ‘Process’ last month and now he’s revealed that he co-wrote single ‘Timmy’s Prayer’with Kanye West.

Speaking to Faster Louder, Sampha confirmed that the song’s lyrics were written alongside the rapper. “I wrote that song with Kanye West,” he said. Earlier this year, Sampha featured on Yeezy’s ‘The Life of Pablo,’ lending his croon to ‘Saint Pablo’.

He also spoke about the importance of finding like-minded people in the world, saying ”sometimes you can be in a sort of loving relationship.that you don’t appreciate when you’re in it…but then when you’re without it you realize it was heaven, because you go out into the wider world and you can meet some real sharks out there, people who are out there for your blood.”

Sampha’s debut album ‘Process’ is due out 3rd February via Young Turks. He’s already lined up a huge tour to celebrate - find all the dates here.
