Sarah Kinsley imagines parallel realities on latest album preview ‘Realms’

Having confirmed details of her debut album ‘Escaper’ back in June, Sarah Kinsley has now shared its latest single ‘Realms’ - a widescreen, piano-led number that considers, in her words, “all the infinite possibilities of alternate universes and parallel planes”. 

Explaining more about the concept behind the track, Sarah has reflected: “In another world maybe I’m not a musician, maybe I’m a dentist, a graduate student, a barista, a child, a memory, an experience, a thing that never occurred, a person that never was! These are unknown eternities of who we might be in some other realm.”

Arriving on 6th September via Verve Forecast/Decca, ‘Escaper’ is a record that promises to do exactly what it says, offering listeners a world of tender, introspective writing and sweeping, cinematic arrangements in which to retreat. “I’m just such a sucker for massive, grand songs,” Sarah has said. “I think it’s the classical musician in me who loves symphonies and the magnum opus effect.”
