Scissor Sisters Thinking About New Album, Want To Work With Josh Homme

The band have been talking about their upcoming fourth studio album.

The Scissor Sisters have revealed they’re working on a new album, and that they’d really like to work with Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme.

The record will be the band’s fourth, following 2004’s ‘Scissor Sisters’, 2006’s ‘Ta-Dah’ and 2010’s ‘Night Work’.

Speaking to NME, singer Ana Matronic said: ”Night Work’ was the most cohesive album we’ve done whereas the others were a bit of a grab bag. I think this [new album] might be going back to being like that. We sometimes say we should do a concept album but we are a concept, we have a philosophy of what we do. We’re stupid - that’s our concept!’

Then, talking to the Daily Star, frontman Jake Shears added: ‘[Working with Josh Homme would] be a dream collaboration, because I’m a huge fan. Actually, I really, really want to sing on the next QOTSA album. And he’s a fan of our band too, as unlikely as that might be. I think that he’s a genius, a genuine rock hero living among us.’
