See Scott Hutchison perform Frightened Rabbit’s ‘Poke’ on US television
Watch the Frightened Rabbit frontman perform on the last ever The Pete Holmes Show.
How to make the most of a farewell: Get a member of Frightened Rabbit to perform a morose acoustic version of his band’s most hauntingly depressing song.
The Pete Holmes Show was aired for the final time last night, after being cancelled. For its final ever episode, Holmes invited Scott Hutchison from Frightened Rabbit for an interview and a performance of ‘Poke’, the harrowing centrepiece of cult favourite ‘The Midnight Organ Fight’.
Watch Scott Hutchison’s acoustic rendition below. He’s currently launching his own project, Owl John. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, as the past 8 years of my life have basically been all about Frightened Rabbit. 2013 was a particularly busy and intense year for the band and it was time to take a break, creatively speaking,” he explained in a recent DIY interview.
