Returning with her first new music since 2019’s debut album ‘Compliments Please’, Self Esteem is welcoming us into her new era with new single ‘I Do This All The Time’.

Part spoken-word, Rebecca Taylor’s newest is a rousing new anthem airing out all her frustrations about societal norms. “All my upcoming work is exploring how complicated it is to just be a human,” she explains. “I’m wonderful and i’m terrible. i hurt people and people hurt me. i feel everything and nothing. It’s a shit laugh but then it can be quite jolly can’t it. The video is the first chance to spot one of the many easter eggs for Self Esteem purists as well as the rather on the nose metaphor of me hugging myself - much like elton john in the movie rocket man does. enjoy!”

Speaking to us last year about her forthcoming new record, Rebecca said, “There’s songs about assault, songs about being oppressed by narcissistic men and all of that, but there are also songs about how much I love having sex, and how much I love my vagina. And it’s complicated because that’s what it feels like. Some things don’t make sense together, and some inform the others, but tough shit - that’s where I’m at. I don’t know the answers, but I’ve written songs about how I bloody feel and I’ve got a feeling that a lot of people will feel like that too.”

Alongside new track ‘I Do This All The Time’, Self Esteem has also announced a UK tour for later this year. Check out the full run of dates below.
