Self Esteem shares new self-directed video for ‘The Curse’
The new clip lands ahead of her huge UK and Ireland headline tour, which starts later this month.

Fresh from taking to the stage for a triumphant headlining turn at this year’s End of the Road festival, Self Esteem - aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor - has shared her new, self-directed video for ‘The Curse’.
The track - which balances the pros and cons of social lubrication - gets lifted from her recent third album ‘A Complicated Woman’, and now comes with a raw clip that sees Rebecca cycling through life and all its ups and downs (think everything from flat parties and botox appointments, to hungover lie-ins and doom-scrolling), all via the lens of a laptop.
“A song about being more shy than you realised, I put my directing bonnet back on for this one. As always thank you to the incredible cast and crew for being so good and so up for my daft shit,” Rebecca has said of the clip. “Starring a who’s who of my closest friends and chosen family.”
Her new video lands ahead of her upcoming UK and Ireland headline tour, which begins later this month and will see her supported by her album collaborators Moonchild Sanelly and Nadine Shah. What’s more, Rebecca will release her debut book, also titled A Complicated Woman, on 30th October via Octopus Books / Hatchette.
