The Big Moon & Moonchild Sanelly to support Self Esteem at York Museum Gardens
Spoken word artist Joshua Idehen will also complete the lineup for the Yorkshire live event this summer.

Late last year it was announced that Self Esteem would be taking to the stage for a very special show this summer, as part of Live at York Museum Gardens. Now, the full lineup for the event - happening on Friday 10th July - has been shared, and it’s promising to be a real night to remember.
London quartet - and longtime DIY favourites - The Big Moon will be taking to the stage as main support at the event in what’s set to be one of their only live shows this year, while the blue-haired, flamboyant wonder that is Moonchild Sanelly has also been confirmed to appear. For those eagle-eyed amongst us, you’ll remember the latter featured on Self Esteem’s most recent album ‘A Complicated Woman’, so here’s hoping for an on-stage collaboration.
Also set to perform at the York Museum Gardens show will be Nigeria-born, Sweden-based spoken word artist Joshua Idehen, who’ll be opening up proceedings on the night. Tickets for the show are on sale now.
What’s more, Self Esteem’s show is just one of a series of events taking place in York this year. Other 2026 headliners include Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (9th July), and Super Furry Animals (11th July) while the York Comedy Festival will happen on Sunday 12th featuring Russell Howard, Ross Noble, Joanne McNally and many more.
