Self Esteem named as the final headliner for Green Man Festival 2023
She joins Devo, First Aid Kit and Spiritualized at the top of the bill this year.
Self Esteem has been named as the final headliner for the 2023 edition of Green Man Festival.
The Brecon Beacons event is set to take place from 17th to 20th August, with a 50/50 gender split across the lineup. The event is sold out.
Among other new names added to the lineup are Mandy, Indiana, Nuha Ruby Ra and Oscar Lang.
They join the previously announced headliners Devo, First Aid Kit and Spiritualized.
The festival’s managing director and owner Fiona Stewart has said, “We’re delighted that over 50% of our line-up will be female and non-binary artists. Inclusivity & creating opportunities is at the beating heart of Green Man festival, so having 50% female and non-binary acts throughout the billing, and including our headliners, is something we’re thrilled to announce.
“First Aid Kit and Self Esteem will be fantastic headliners, and a real homecoming Green Man moment after seeing their careers develop over the years, from showcasing performances on our smaller stages to them returning now at the top of our bill!”
Green Man is Wales’ largest music, science and arts festival, taking place in the Black Mountains of Bannau Brycheiniog.
Self Esteem returns to Green Man after playing to a packed Far Out Tent in 2021. Her album ‘Prioritise Pleasure’ was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2022.
