Mandy, Indiana unveil plans for new album ‘URGH’
The band have also shared its powerful lead single, ‘Magazine’.

Mandy, Indiana are back with the news that their second album - the evocatively titled ‘URGH’ - will arrive on 6th February 2026, via their new label home of Sacred Bones.
Building on the foundations laid by their 2023 debut ‘i’ve seen a way’ (which was in fact ranked among DIY’s Top 20 albums of that year - more on that below), ‘URGH’ sees the band broaden their sonic and creative scope, with all four members now playing an active part in the songwriting process.
It’s also a record born out of tumult, as vocalist Valentine Caulfield and drummer Alex Macdougall both underwent bouts of surgery during its creation - experiences which inevitably fed into the album’s exploration of inner pain and external chaos.
A case in point is the LP’s abrasive lead single ‘Magazine’ (out now), which Valentine has described as “the expression of the frustration and deep-seated violence I felt while attempting to recover from being raped”.
Continuing, she explains: “just like most victims of sexual assault, I will never get justice, and just like most perpetrators, my attacker will never be punished. My therapist encouraged me to channel my anger into something productive, so here it is: my primal, screaming call for retribution. It is the only way I will ever get to say to my rapist: you hurt me, so I’m going to hurt you.”
