Shamir brings ‘On the Regular’ to Colbert
Excitable, MORE COWBELL performance is a Late Show highlight.

Last night (5th November), Shamir appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, bringing the most excitable telly set since Letterman handed over the presenting baton.
It starts slick and slow, Shamir Bailey twisting verses into a ballad. That doesn’t last long. Within seconds, he’s joined by gigantic horn sections, synths, backing vocalists and enough cowbell to last a lifetime.
Shamir is in the new issue of DIY, where we focus on the acts doing things their way - case in point, this performance. It’s ace, and it’s streaming below.
