Shamir has signed to Father/Daughter for new album ‘Revelations’

Back in April, Shamir – pretty much completely out of the blue – dropped ‘Hope’, an entire album’s worth of material that was born out of his disillusionment with music in general.

Despite apparently being close to quitting music altogether at the time though, he now looks set to drop his second album in the space of just five months. As reported By Billboard, his new LP ‘Revelations’ is due on 3rd November!

That’s not all the news either. In a tweet, Shamir said: “So @father_daughter is my new home and im SUPER excited, more soon!” Yep, he’s signed to the San Franciscan label, who, according to Spin, apparently have plans not only to release his upcoming album, but also to give ‘Hope’ a bit more of an official release. Now those are some big revelations indeed!
