Sia has shared another new cut from her upcoming album ‘This Is Acting’. Out next Friday, the album is made up of tracks the song-writing powerhouse originally penned for other pop stars. Songs written for the likes of Adele, Rihanna, and Beyonce appear on the record. She previously shared ‘Alive’, ‘One Million Bullets’, ‘Bird Set Free’, and Kanye West collab ‘Reaper’.
The latest preview, ‘Unstoppable’ lives up to its name. No emotive welly spared, it’s a rousingly dramatic ballad of the first order. “I’m so powerful, I don’t need batteries today,” declares a triumphant Sia at one point, outdoing even the Duracell bunny for vigour. Basically, ‘Unstoppable’ is custom-made for roaring into hairbrushes.
Sia co-wrote the song with Christopher Braide, who produced and wrote for The Great Gatsby soundtrack. He’s also worked with the likes of Christina Aguilera, Lana Del Rey, Paloma Faith, and Beyoncé. He and Sia previously wrote ‘Perfume’ together for Britney Spears.
