Sigur Rós share ‘Óveður’ video
Icelandic crew are dripping new material in the midst of a number of festival dates.

After taking to the telly for a slow-as-a-tortoise 24-hour broadcast yesterday, Sigur Rós have shared a video for brand new track ‘Óveður’.
Initially receiving an airing at Barcelona fest Primavera Sound, ‘Óveður”s recorded form finds the band soaring, their cinematic soundscapes taking a weightier form than ever before. Tomorrow night (June 23rd), Sigur Rós headline Bristol’s Summer Series, before they take to Glastonbury for a closing set on the John Peel stage.
Still no word on an album, but Sigur Rós are entering an exciting new era. Catch up with their story to date with our comprehensive guide to the band, and watch the ‘Óveður’ video below.
Sigur Rós will play Open’er (29th June - 2nd July) and Citadel (17th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
