“It’s certainly not the first time I’ve dealt with that sort of thing,” she tells fans and DIY.

Earlier this week DIY brought attention to Sky Ferreira’s recent appearance on Brazilian chat show (‘The Night’), which was most notable for an interview with host Danilo Gentili.

Gentili’s interview was assisted by a translator, who put questions to Sky ahead of her performance of ‘You’re Not The One’ from debut album ‘Night Time, My Time’. The host pointed to her album artwork before prompting the question: “Do you think people like your music because of the songs or because of the tits?” Sky’s response was quick and to-the-point: “The music, but it helps if you’re a pervert.”

Sky subsequently responded to DIY’s tweet about the interview/performance by initially saying: “THANKS FOR NOTICING. Seriously though.”

She then further explained the awkward situation to her fans. “Wasn’t expecting that & almost thought it was more of a language barrier thing at first,” she tweeted. “… but as the interview went on I got the idea. It’s certainly not the first time I’ve dealt with that sort of thing.”

She concluded by saying: “I’ve experienced waaaay more kind / intelligent / cool people than mindless jerks on this tour.”
