Leeds leg of the annual rock fans’ pilgrimage is set to return to its original location.

Slam Dunk Festival offers a sneak peek at 2015 plans

A decade into existence, the annual celebration of transatlantic pop-punk, metal and everything in-between, Slam Dunk Festival shows no signs of slowing, with details of their tenth showing emerging earlier today.

Slam Dunk 2015 is due to take place in Leeds, Hatfield and Wolverhampton on the 23rd, 24th and 25th May respectively, with all three sites being extended so as to accommodate over 30,000 fans across the weekend.

While the latter two dates are to stake claim to their usual homes of The Forum and Wolverhampton Civic Centre, the Northern leg is to return to the site of the first ever Slam Dunk – Leeds’ Millennium Square.

The Square will be joined by the O2 Academy, Leeds Beckett University, and various on-street locations as the festival’s seven stages stake claim to the city centre once more. “2015 will be the tenth year of SDF so it is important we do something extra special,” states festival organiser Ben Ray in a press release. “I can honestly say it will be the biggest and best Slam Dunk ever!”

Tickets for Slam Dunk 2015 go on sale at 9am next Friday, 12th December. A full list of retailers is available here.
