Smashing Pumpkins Announce Remastered Releases And New Album

Billy Corgan’s crew revisit their back catalogue, starting this autumn.

Smashing Pumpkins have announced they are to start re-releasing their albums one by one.

The band are set to remaster and re-issue all their previous work, they announced via their official Facebook page. The series starts with ‘Gish’, ‘Pisces Iscariot’ and the acclaimed ‘Siamese Dream’ album, all set for release this autumn. More of their longplayers are to be reissued throughout 2012, with rumours of an extensive tour for next summer. We’d love to hear them do ‘Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness’ in full, wouldn’t you?

The group have also revealed they’re to record a brand new album this May, stating that it will be an ‘album within an album’. Rumoured to be titled ‘Oceania’, and set for release in September, it’s part of the band’s ongoing 44 song ‘Teargarden by Kaleidyscope’ project.
