Soccer Mommy shares ‘Be Seeing You’ and demo of ‘Blossom’
The newly released cuts come ahead of a 2019 packed with headline shows, support tours and festival slots.
Soccer Mommy - aka Nashville-based Sophie Allison - released her debut album proper, ‘Clean’, last year, and has now shared a pair of rarities.
The singer has made ‘Be Seeing You’, a track previously only available physically as the b-side on her ‘Last Girl’ 7-inch available on all streaming services, alongside a demo version of ‘Clean’ track ‘Blossom’.
“‘Blossom’ was one of the first songs I wrote for Clean. It was before I even realized Clean was going to exist,” Sophie says. “I was always happy with the demo - it got made in the basement of my dorm room when I was still in college.”
“‘Be Seeing You’,” she expands, “is an even older track. It was made as a single with the original recording of ‘Last Girl’ but it was never put on streaming. It’s an old favourite of mine so I’m happy to see it get released everywhere.”
Soccer Mommy is set to play a host of headline US tour dates this year, alongside support slots with Kasey Musgraves and a host of festival appearances including a slot at Coachella.
