Amsterdam’s St. Tropez are releasing their second album later this year, and have shared a new video for ‘Down’, a track they call “both a chaotic ode and a political indictment to destruction”.
Along with the release of the album, the band are set to open a pop-up studio/venue in Amsterdam’s central station throughout May, inviting bands and artists from across the globe.
Speaking about the new video, the band say: ‘Like in most of our videos, we wanted to come up with another seemingly useless yet alienating performance, and decided to dig a hole for ourselves.
“With this video we wanted to refer to the art of disappearing, explored before by many conceptual (Dutch) artists like Bas Jan Ader and Wim T. Sschippers.’
