Steve Lacy confirms new solo album
The Internet’s star recently made a solo comeback with new track ‘N Side’.

Steve Lacy has been busy of late. From touring last year’s ‘Hive Mind’ with his band The Internet to appearing on a couple of songs on Vampire Weekend’s new album and releasing new solo song ‘N Side’, there’s been barely time to breathe for the hotly-tipped youngster.
In a new interview with i-D, though, the 20 year-old has revealed that he’s set to release a new solo album this year.
“It was kinda like a middle finger to the people who were like, you can’t make this song longer than three minutes and I was like alright I’ll give you nine minutes, how’s that?” he says of a particular nine-minute song on the record.
“It’s basically my journey, my sexuality. But in a very fun and witty way, it’s not really that serious, it’s not super sad. I think it’s my journey, it’s an expression of how I feel right now.”
Opening up on his bisexuality during the interview, the singer said he’s “not really that bothered by it honestly. I think, who we’re fucking, shouldn’t matter in the world. It’s kind of silly to me. But I’m also speaking from my Los Angeles bubble, I always have to be cautious of that.”
