Stream ShitKid’s debut album ‘Fish’ in full
Åsa Söderqvist’s first DIY garage-pop full length officially comes out on Friday.
On Friday (2nd June), Åsa Söderqvist, better known as DIY garage-pop
singer-songwriter ShitKid, is set to release her debut album ‘Fish’.
Ahead of its release though, you can now stream the whole
thing on Bandcamp! The new collection is a bit more polished and less drenched
in fuzz than her previous EPs, but Åsa’s still showing off her love of a good
hook mixed amongst lo-fi grunge tunes. She’s written, recorded and produced
the record herself, and it’s filled with waves of scuzzy guitar riffs and
digital beats.
The nine-track collection features the singles ‘Sugar Town’,
‘Tropics’ and ‘Alright’, a tune that was more than simply just “alright”. It
showcased Åsa’s knack for writing a captivating narrative despite keeping it
pretty simple lyrically, showing off her conversational side and don’t-give-a-fuck
attitude. Expect much, much more of that goodness here.
