Sugababes unveil dream-like video for sultry latest single ‘Weeds’

Having shared their most recent track ‘Weeds’ last month, pop superstars Sugababes have now offered up an elegant, suitably floral-inspired video to go with it. 

The iconic trio - who in 2019 reunited as Sugababes’ original lineup - have spent the past few years cementing their continued place at the centre of pop music, playing history-making shows at Glasto and The O2. 

Now, following the arrival of dancefloor-filler ‘Jungle’, the group are showing off their more tender side with ‘Weeds’. Spotlighting their signature gossamer harmonies, this latest single - produced by Grammy-winner Jon Shave and written alongside Lola Young collaborator Anya Jones - is a heartfelt ode to friendship, and has been described by the girls as “one of the most beautiful songs we’ve ever worked on”. 

Explaining more about the concept behind the track’s visuals, the group has shared: “‘Weeds’ is about growth in all its forms. It’s about being seen, nurtured, and loved into who you’re meant to become. We wanted the video to reflect that - how something small and unexpected can break through, take up space, and turn into something beautiful.”
