Sunn O))) announce new album ‘Kannon’

Sunn O))) have announced their first LP in six years, ‘Kannon’.

The follow-up to 2009’s ‘Monoliths and Demolitions’ is being released on 4th December, but is also coming out on limited edition clear vinyl for Record Store Day’s Black Friday on 27th November.

The band have recently released collaborative albums with Scott Walker and Ulver, but this is their first standalone LP in six years.

In advance of the album’s release, Sunn O))) are curating a stage at the Le Guess Who? festival in Utrecht, Holland in November. The band themselves will headline the stage, which also features performances from Julia Holter and Chelsea Wolfe. Deerhunter, Ought and Metz are also playing across the event.
