Tei Shi toes the line between love and destruction on ‘How Far’

She’s also revealed further details of her new album ‘Crawl Space’ and tour dates with MØ.

Brooklyn-based Valerie Teichier – aka Tei Shi – announced last month that her new album ‘Crawl Space’ would be out on 31st March with the release of ethereal pop number ‘Keep Running’. Now she’s back with brand new track ‘How Far’, which at first is a dreamy synthpop number before bursting into power ballad territory. In a statement, Valerie said of the track: “How Far is a song about the line towed by two people between love and destruction. It talks about the process of attempting to change one another in a relationship, and the final desperate point—the last attempt—before acceptance.” That probably explains why it’s got some pretty heart-wrenching lines like “if it pleases you to see me struggle/ I will”. As well as sharing ‘How Far’, she’s also revealed further details about ‘Crawl Space’, 01. Way to Record 02. Keep Running 03. Creep 04. Baby 05. How Far 06. Bad Singer 07. Say You Do 08. Bad Girl 09.
