TEME share beautiful debut offering ‘bj.sadsong’
The group’s first single is a sprawling, six-minute monster.
New group TEME have shared their debut track in the form of ‘bj.sadsong’, and it’s a hugely accomplished first step.
Helmed by hushed, pitch-perfect vocals, the track’s real interest comes from the buzzing, flitting electronics that fizz their way around in the background. From spits of percussion to murmurs that sound closer to field recordings, it’s a first effort that’s full of life.
Then, as if a switch is flicked, a cacophony of barrelling drums smash their way in, before departing again - as quickly as they arrive - to leave a bloopy, hyper-active synth to see the track off into the sunset. It’s an unusual but fascinating first step.

Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
