The Antlers release new song ‘Rains’
It’s the latest track in a string of singles they’ve shared recently
New York’s The Antlers have released a tender new track called ‘Rains’ via Transgressive Records. It’s the third track in a series of singles, following on from March’s ‘I Was Not There’ and ‘Ahimsa’, released November 2022. Frontman Peter Silberman recorded and produced the track. He says: “Rains” is an optimistic song about the possibility of renewal. As if encouraging openness to change, springtime points to an inevitable summer that seems unimaginable in a desolate winter. Rainfall ferries away last year’s leaves, reanimates colorless grass, and invites new life to emerge.”
The Antlers last released a full LP, ‘Green and Gold’ in March 2021. In our 4 1/2 star review, we said The Antlers had “reinvented their own musical language”. Revisit the review here.
