The Blackout announce UK headline tour, new EP
The band have unveiled a UK headline tour as well as a new EP, ‘Wolves’.
The Blackout have announced details of a UK headline tour, which will kick off at the Waterfront in Norwich on 2nd November. The band will take in dates in Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow and Sheffield, amongst others, finishing in London two weeks later.
The run will coincide with the band’s new EP ‘Wolves’, funded through a Kickstarter campaign and due on 27th October. “It took a lot of determination and sacrifice to pick ourselves up and carry on with The Blackout,” says singer Gavin Butler, who’s recently suffered an illness.
“The main reason this happened was our vision for ‘Wolves’. Writing these songs not only gave us a way to vent our frustrations but gave us a fresh fervor for making music and the much needed awakening to the fact that we all love being a band. So we thought, let’s just take back control.”
The dates are as follows:
November
02 Waterfront, Norwich
03 Cockpit, Leeds
04 Sound Control, Manchester
05 King Tuts, Glasgow
06 Corporation, Sheffield
08 Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton
09 Fleece,Bristol
10 Rescue Rooms / 2P Rock City, Nottingham
11 Solus, Cardiff
12 1865, Southampton
13 Scala, London
Tickets will go on sale from Wednesday 20th August.
