The Cape Of Good Hope Return

The Cape Of Good Hope Return

The Cape Of Good Hope have announced they’re to make a comeback in 2011 with the release of a brand new EP.

A message, posted on the band’s blog, reads:

‘Cape-ists. We’re back, that’s right, we’re back from the future.

After an extremely successful Christmas show, a very pleasurable recording session with the king of walking himself (Dave Draper) and a lot of love, we’ve decided to give the band a go once more. It would be a lie to say we hadn’t all missed it and once we were back in a room together the sparks flew and chemicals were all chemically. What was genuinely planned as a one-off gig made us wonder if we should ever have stopped in the first place.

So seriously, thanks everyone - it means a lot that so many people came along and so many kind words were said. It was those words that made us re-evaluate what we were doing and make the decision to pick up where we abruptly left off.

Now the cat’s out of the bag (or the dustbin if you’re Mary Bale), on with the hard sell and further news. Our new EP Sly Love With A Midnight Creeper will be available on here shortly, and digitally at all your usual MP3 stockists. Should you not want to part with your hard earned cash then simply pop along to Spotify and stream the whole flipping thing from there. Free you say? Are we mad? Yes.’

They will also be making a live comeback, beginning on 2nd April with a date at Birmingham’s Flapper alongside The James Cleaver Quartet and God Damn at Till Deaf Do Us Party.
