The Horrors’ Tom Furse shares ‘Run To Me Pt. 3’ from new ‘Suite’
Forthcoming EP is out 9th October on Django Django member Dave Maclean’s Kick + Clap label.
On 9th October, synth wizard Tom Furse releases his new ‘Run To Me Suite’ EP. A techno-nodding giant, it’s a five-part, seamless work from The Horrors man, released on Kick + Clap, the label belonging to Dave Maclean from Django Django.
Ahead of its release, we’re streaming the groove-led ‘Pt. 3’ below. It’s one piece of a big-concept sci-fi jigsaw from Furse. “I had this notion of robots being called to arms by a mother robot, in order to collect suns to build a giant engine powered by 20,000 suns,” he says. “I know it’s not really apparent in the songs, but visual ideas like that drive me forward when I’m making music, it just seems to make it easier; like putting sound to film.”
If this third part were to be placed with a Spielberg sci-fi blockbuster, it’d be when these robots lose themselves to dance,e ditching the sun-collecting duties for some much-needed disco.
