The Last Shadow Puppets take on French rock song ‘Les Cactus’
Dad dancing, dodgy accents, and an eye-rolling orchestra. There’s a lot to take in, here.
The Last Shadow Puppets have shared a fairly raucous video, and to put things mildly, it really is something. In said visual, the duo cover Jacques Dutronc’s 1967 French rock song ‘Les Cactus’. Of course they do.
It mainly features Alex Turner bobbing precariously around in a shirt-meets-kaftan type garment, and behaving much like yer da when he got a ‘One Day in a Recording Studio’ experience voucher for Christmas last year from Auntie Dawn. Miles Kane is on hand, too, sharing the odd smirk with his tracksuit loving bandmate. The studio violinists are, understandably, eye-rolling quite a lot. Turner’s French accent is at best questionable
The Last Shadow Puppets released their latest album‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’ earlier this year.
Watch Alex and Miles’ ‘Les Cactus’ cover - long a set staple of theirs - below.
