Albert Hammond, Jr to support The Strokes
The band will perform in Las Vegas on 20th August.
While new material from The Strokes doesn’t seem all that likely (not least ‘cause Julian’s off doing other things), the band are still performing live - at least two more times.
In preparation for their headline set at FYF Fest in Los Angeles this August, the band, last heard on stereos with 2013’s ‘Comedown Machine’, have announced a one-off warm-up date at the Chelsea in Las Vegas’ ‘Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ resort on 20th August.
What’s more, main support will come from the band’s own Albert Hammond, Jr, who released solo EP ‘AHJ’ last year.
“Tis true,” he tweeted when a fan asked him to confirm the announcement. There will also be “special guests” appearing.
Tickets are on sale from today.
