The Strokes Plan April Start On ‘Angles’ Follow Up

The Strokes are set to begin work on the follow up to ‘Angles’ next month.

The New Yorkers only released their latest album this week, but bassist Nikolai Fraiture claims the band will be starting on the next record by the end of April.

‘We were just talking about when we would get back together and start writing for the next album,’ he told XFM. ‘It should be soon. April, mid-April.’

‘Angles’ sat at Number Two in the midweek album charts, losing out to Adele, but Fraiture isn’t worried about the criticism some critics have leveled at the record.

‘I love that it takes a few listens,’ he said. ‘After a five-year break, we didn’t want to do something that’s like, ‘Oh, I get it after one listen!”
