The Strokes to re-issue ‘Room On Fire’ on coloured vinyl

The Strokes have announced the re-release of their second album ‘Room On Fire’.

The 2003 album will be re-issued on 14th April via Newbury Comics on limited edition black and gold vinyl. Copies are limited to 1,500 individually-numbered records, pre-orders already sold out.

‘Room On Fire’ was the group’s follow up to debut album ‘Is This It’. The album reached number two in the UK album charts and featured the singles ’12:51’, ‘Reptilia’, and ‘The End Has No End’.

Lead guitarist Albert Hammond Jr recently sat down with The Guardian to discuss the beginnings of the group and the processes of recording their debut album ‘Is This It’. Read more on that here.

Earlier this month, The Strokes announced plans to play their first London show in five years. They’ll play Hyde Park on 18th June, with support from Beck and Future Islands. Remaining tickets can be purchased here
