The Victorian English Gentlemens Club Release Cassette
‘Blood Pie’ features demos and early recordings from ‘Bag Of Meat’.
The Victorian English Gentlemens Club have released a cassette, featuring demos and early versions of tracks from forthcoming third album, ‘Bag Of Meat’.
The band describe the release thus:
‘$Brand New$: Blood Pie. It’s a yellow cassette of 16 demos, preparations, unreleased songs, dirge remixes and strange things - none of which are available anywhere else. 16 songs, 40 mins. We recorded these songs ourselves in a kitchen at low volume as not to upset the neighbours. In the studio we make things loud and aggressive, but listening back we realised that there’s something very nice about the restraint in these recordings. There’s also some songs that weren’t right for the album, but couldn’t abandon. Altogether it’s a good introduction of how this record came to be.’
The cassette is available exclusively via the band’s online shop, and at the following tour dates (stock permitting!):
