The War On Drugs announce huge London show
Adam Granduciel will sign off 2018 with a live appearance at The O2 Arena.
It’s been almost a year since The War On Drugs released his Grammy Award-winning fourth album, and he’s now confirmed plans for a UK show to sign off his 2018.
Having last played in London just a few weeks ago as part of The National’s All Points East show, Adam Granduciel will play a last show on our side of the Atlantic this year, when he takes ‘A Deeper Understanding’ to the rather massive O2 Arena in London this December.
The show will take place on 13th December and will feature support from Slowdive, and tickets for it will go on general sale this Friday 22nd June from 10am.
The War On Drugs released his fourth album in August 2017 via Atlantic Records; DIY spoke to him late last year about how the album’s tracks are constantly shifting and evolving.
“These songs, I’m finding as we play them, are a lot more complex than they lent themselves to be, and yet there’s parts here and there that are just beautiful in their simplicity, and I wish I could have known that about them when I was making them - it would have saved me a lot of headaches.”
