The White House responds to Kanye West’s 2020 presidency bid
Yeezy for President?
On Sunday night (30th August), Kanye West concluded a headline-grabbing, emotional MTV VMAs speech by declaring that he’d run for president in 2020.
The White House has since responded to Yeezy’s early bid, which took place after he won the Video Vanguard Award over the weekend.
As Billboard reports, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest - travelling in Air Force One with President Obama at the time - said he was “forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat.”
Not the most ‘Swish’ of responses, there.
