The White Stripes link up to denounce Donald Trump's presidential campaign

The White Stripes have made a rare joint statement, distancing themselves from a pro-Donald Trump video made using their smash single ‘Seven Nation Army’.

“Regarding the use of “Seven Nation Army” in a Donald Trump campaign video,” they posted on their Facebook page and that of Jack White’s label Third Man Records, “The White Stripes would like to unequivocally state that they have nothing whatsoever to do with this video. They are disgusted by this association, and by the illegal use of their song.”

Regarding which video in question the band are protesting, Jack White and The White Stripes’ manager Ian Montone simply states “If you can’t find the video, great. Then our lawyers have done their job.”
