Brighton noise fiend Theo Verney is going ultra-throwback with his new song, ‘Sailed Long’.
Following the psych assault of ‘Mountain Rose’ and ‘Brain Disease’, this latest cut captures the headrush of a ‘70s smash-hit being played live for the first time. But it’s also delivered with a modern day longing, the kind emphasised by chorus coos and dreams of escapism.
The track - recorded at Brighton’s Church Road studios - arrives ahead of forthcoming dates with Mikal Cronin.
