Thom Yorke has written original music for a new Broadway play
‘Old Times’ is out from September.
Thom Yorke has provided new, original music for a Broadway play directed by Douglas Dodge.
Debuting 17th September with a series of previews, ‘Old Times’ is an adaptation of the Harold Pinter work. Clive Owen, Kelly Reilly and Eve Best will star in the adaptation, which officially launches between 6th October and 29th November at New York’s American Airlines Theatre.
Yorke has given a statement on his involvement, saying: “I’ve enjoyed exploring through music the script’s themes of love and memory as well as Pinter’s rhythms, twists and turns.”
Back in July, Yorke gave the first live airing to last year’s ‘Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes’ LP, at Latitude Festival. He’s recently spent time in the studio with Radiohead, but each member remains busy with other commitments (like writing music for a Broadway play, for instance).
