Tinashe shares ‘Aquarius’ video on her birthday weekend
NSFW clip is shared for the album title track.
Tinashe has shared a video for ‘Aquarius’, the title track from her debut album released in October 2014 via RCA. The self-directed clip was shared over the weekend whilst the singer celebrated her 22nd birthday last Friday.
Starring just herself, Tinashe harks back to her early work as a bedroom artist, capturing her current sound with low budget camera work presumably filmed on a mobile phone. Tinashe plays a series of different guises, dressing differently in each space whilst acting out the lyrics alone. The track’s deep bass plays throughout, with smoke effects occasionally appearing across the screen, signing off with a whispered line (“welcome to my world”) in what feels like an exclusive behind the scenes shoot.
