Truck Confirms The Subways & More

There will also be a new tent, hosting sets from both veterans and brand new acts.

Truck festival - which will be teaming up with DIY once again for this year’s event - has this morning confirmed the addition of The Subways to the line up, as well as a handful of other acts.

‘The greatest drug in the world is seeing people screaming the words to songs you’ve written, dancing to the drums, clapping to your rhythms and screaming when you ask them to,’ comments frontman Billy Lunn.

Elsewhere on the line up, they’ve also just announced Fonda 500, Thomas Truax, Luke Smith, Edible Five Foot Smiths and Le Emu Tavern, who will all be playing the new “Veterans and Virgins” tent, alongside a string of new acts to be chosen by BBC Introducing.

Another new stage, the specially-constructed Great Western Whiskey Saloon & Blues Kitchen, in association with Clubhouse Records, will host Society, Redlands Palomino Co, The Epstein, The Dreaming Spires, Huck and The Yarns, Stevie Ray Latham, and Clubhouse’s own Case Hardin, Troubadour Rose and Paul McLure.

The new additions are joining the likes of headliners The Horrors and Spiritualized, as well as Ash, The Joy Formidable, Dry The River, Gaz Coombes, Rolo Tomassi, TOY, The Bots, The Computers, Frankie & The Heartstrings, Arcane Roots, Fight Like Apes and Max Raptor, amongst others.

The much-loved event - which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2012 - returns to Hill Farm in Steventon on 19th - 20th July. Tickets are on sale now from truckfestival.com.
