London’s Two Tribes deliver thunderous, sprawling debut single ‘Zone’
The first cut will be followed by a headline show at The Waiting Room at the end of the month.
London quartet Two Tribes have been making a racket around the capital for a while now, building a reputation around a live show that’s becoming simply huge.
Today, they solidify all that promise on debut single ‘Zone’. Channelling all the energy of the raucous live show, the track is a thunderous, sprawling introduction that takes loose cues from dance-punk, sprinkling in elements of techno and pure pop to create something huge in scope yet perfectly balanced.
Talking about the debut offering, the band say: “The inspiration for the song came from watching Andrei Tarkovsky’s film Stalker, in which a group of men are led through an hazardous area called ‘The Zone’, where there supposedly exists a room which grants a person’s innermost desires. I felt like walking through the zone was a good metaphor for someone who persists in leading a destructive lifestyle as a method to finding some fulfilment out of life.”
The band will bring ‘Zone’ to a London headline show at The Waiting Room on 28th February.
