HOORAY!
Vampire Weekend’s fourth album is officially “done”
Singer Ezra Koenig revealed the news at a Lollapalooza gig.

It’s been a long old wait for news on Vampire Weekend’s impending fourth LP, but now the record is officially “done”.
Speaking to the crowd during their Lollapalooza set in Chicago, frontman Ezra Koenig revealed the news, saying, “I wanted to tell you that the album is done now. I mean, we’re mastering it but it’s done. More on that to come – in the meantime, just enjoy the rest of your summer.”
The news comes shortly after it was announced that the New York band had signed to Sony, with a due date of the end of Q3 (aka September 30th) for “a noteworthy project”.
Realistically, are the quartet like to finish mastering and release the record by then? Well, doubtful. But we would certainly not refuse a nice tasty single to kick off the campaign.
It’s been five looonnnnng years since ‘Modern Vampires of the City’, but the end is finally nigh…
