VÉRITÉ shares new free download, ‘Weekend’
NYC newcomer mixes the pristine with the genre-shunning on her latest track.
New York-based newcomer VÉRITÉ has struck gold on ‘Weekend’, her second track to date. Arriving one month on from the head-turning ‘Strange Enough’ debut - which was, as we stated, strange enough to warrant attention - she’s opted for another curious effort that blends the best of both worlds: ‘melancholy, introverted number’ and ‘all out banger’.
Running by at a ridiculous pace, ‘Weekend’ combines chugging synth lines and forthright percussive parts, both of which back up the NYC resident’s masterful hold on the track. She claims she’s about to “count the seconds until everything falls apart,” but this track is the opposite of frail - drenched in sadness, it still comes out the other side as a bold, powerful beast.
‘Weekend’ is being given away as a free download. Listen below.
