Verse Reveal Reunion, Plan To Record New Album Next Year

After spending the last two years split, Verse have revealed plans to reform.

The hardcore legends, who hail from Providence, RI, originally called it a day back in 2009, but have today announced that they will be once again reuniting to tear up shows worldwide.

Verse vocalist Sean Murphy has said this about the reunion:

‘I think it just really came down to us missing playing music and the chemistry we shared in our creative process. Things just got a little crazy in our lives at home, with being on tour all the time, having all this weight to carry and people to keep happy. It really ended up burning us out. We needed some time to step away and focus on having some sort of stability for a while. I know I’m very happy to sit in a room again knowing that we are fine with each other and the way we are as individuals. Verse was and is once again a very important part of our lives. It’s without a doubt one of the most creative and challenging things we’ve done in our lives.’

Verse are scheduled to play a show alongside Defeater, Soul Control and Sweet Jesus at AS220 in Providence on 11th February, with an apparent appearance planned for next year’s Groezrock Festival in Belgium. Talks of full US and European tours are underway, with the aim to do so in the coming Summer.

Verse also intend to record a new full-length album at some point in 2012, following a planned re-press of their critically-acclaimed album ‘Aggression’, which was originally released back in 2009.
