Wallice shares latest album preview ‘I Want You Yesterday’

Her debut LP ‘The Jester’ lands next month.

Wallice shares latest single from 'The Jester', 'I Want You Yesterday'

Wallice has unveiled new single ‘I Want You Yesterday’ - a dreamy, playfully twinkling cut that acts as our next teaser of her forthcoming debut full-length, ‘The Jester’ (due out on 15th November via Dirty Hit).

It arrives in the wake of recent album previews ‘The Opener’, ‘Heaven Has To Happen’, ‘Gut Punch Love’ and ‘Deadbeat’, and showcases yet another facet of Wallice’s smart, self-aware lyricism. The first track written as a trio with her eventual LP collaborators Mikey Freedom Hart and Marinelli, she’s described ‘I Want You Yesterday’ as “the beginning of something really great” which started life as “a beat that reminded me of something off a Beatles record.”

Expanding further about the song’s conception, Wallice has shared: “When we first wrote it, I didn’t think we nailed the initial version of the verses, but I loved the simplicity of the chorus and I wanted something that would compliment that. We ended up doing a ‘how would [insert any artist] write this verse’ exercise, and wound up with a really fun song that I particularly like because it’s a little outside of my comfort zone.”
